From corporate to country. Join me as I share some musings of life in rural middle America. I traded my “business casual” wardrobe for Bogs and denim. I love vintage hankies and dirt under my nails. Not necessarily together or in that order.
I adore homemade bread, talking to my chickens and getting my hands dirty. If there is a table or chair or any other piece of furniture on the side of the road, it will be mine. I will sand it, stain it, chalk paint it and reuse it or sell it!
We will talk backyard chickens and ducks, homemade bread, fun with mason jars, cooking, canning, gardening, DIY and everything in between!
Homesteading is a state of mind. It isn’t about perfection (trust me on this one). It isn’t about doing everything “the hard way.” Rather, it is a yearning for a less commercialized way of living. This is a blog of sharing. Sharing ideas…fails and wins. It is a community. A community of like-minded individuals looking to create a more self-sufficient life and getting back to the basics. Please join me as we explore a self-sufficient life, one cracked egg at a time!
